        It is hard to take the Toyota Supra seriously as a driver's car when the only transmission option is an automatic. Let's be real, it is automatic only because the G29 Z4 is automatic only and Toyota is not about to spend money they do not need to. Well, there are hardcore enthusiasts who will not let this stand and who decided to swap in a manual on their own.


        That would be the guys at European Auto Group. They are known for pulling off a 6-speed manual Ferrari F430 Scuderia transmission swap so if anyone can do this it's them.

        Well, they did it and this can be yours for roughly $12,000 with a warranty. If that is worth the money depends entirely on how badly you want a manual MKV Supra.

          Kudos to them for not only doing it, but documenting it for others. It would have been so easy for BMW / Toyota to do this, but unfortunately, they didn’t (this should also be a factory option on the Z4). I’m glad you can get the Supra with an auto because it’s definitely going to be faster with an 8-speed auto. However, the purists want a manual, and that should have been offered from the factory.

          Great work, the best mod the new Supra could use for more driving involvement and fun IMO.
