What 20 inch high performance tires for the street?

So I have new rims coming in and I will temporarily re-use the factory Porsche rubber but I will be looking to replace it with something very... sticky.

I have R888R's on the M3 and I am not impressed. I can't get traction in first or second and that is in an application with less torque.

When I was running around on drag radials the Porsche hooked out of first no problem. I obviously won't be running around on 19 inch drag radials all the time and their stability in turns sucks.

So, what should I try minus a drag radial or R888R?

    Maybe Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R's? https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...+Zero+Trofeo+R

They seem to need a lot of heat though before they stick and I want something for the street.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tires don't seem to be out yet.

    Maybe Nitto NT01's? https://www.nittotire.com/competitio...d-course-tire/

Sport Cup 2? The Eagle F1 Supercar 3R appears to be available. Or the Dunlop Sport Maxx (I think thatís OEM on the GT3)?

Iíd probably do Sport Cup 2 or the Trofeo. Plus all the weight you have over the rear. Should grip well.

Trofeos have been the best I've driven on so far but they are pricey.

They likely would suck in the winter though

These all have less grip than the R888R from what I read.

I kind of want to try the Trofeo's out although they do not last long.

Actually the trofeos where much better than sports cup 2's in the cold and are still going after 8000km, I think they will last at least 15k

That's a good endorsement. I may just have to try them out.
